  • How To Fix A Fight When You've Gone Far In An Argument

    Episode #37

Have you ever been in a heated argument with your partner?

In this episode, Doug and Tim discuss what to do after a heated argument with your partner and how to correct it.

One important thing to do first is to find out what triggered that situation to happen, or what triggered you to overreact.

In order to avoid overreacting, both parties must communicate clearly what they both want without feeling like a victim and without judgment.

Communicate out of love and respect because if you let your emotions and ego drive you during that situation, you will just end up hurting each other.

Take ownership & apologize for what happened and for overreacting. Tell your partner how you felt and what made you overreact and what you will do to rectify it.

In this episode, you will learn:

    1. How to avoid being in a heated situation
    2. Importance of communication
    3. A personal problem VS. a relationship problem
    4. Being aware and taking ownership

  • Rediscovering Your Passion
Episode #35    Do you feel like you're perpetually tired & losing the passion from your life?    In this episode, Doug and Tim discuss the steps to overcome emptiness in life.   There are times when we feel empty, we lose passion and no matter how hard we try, somehow the same pattern continues to play out.   The first step to overcome this is to become aware that you are in a cycle and accept it without judgment. Pause for a second and start considering why the same pattern keeps happening over and over again. Look at what's going on with your life that's causing you to feel empty. Write down what's currently going on with your life and the actions that you are taking. Take a real inventory of your life and accept it.   The second step is to dive into the root of that emptiness. We should be aware of what has been the driving force & find the truth. Allowing us to be able to change it and rediscover the passion that we lost.   After finding the root, we should know what we really want our lives to look like. If you are not living the life that you want then take massive action and move forward to the direction you want to go. Do not waste your time living up to other people's standards and expectations.     In this episode you will learn:
    1. The steps in overcoming emptiness
    2. Finding the root in order to make a change and solve the problem
    3. Breaking the pattern
    4. Living the life that you wanted to live
    5. How to rediscover your passion.

  • Money Will Solve It

    Episode 34

In this episode, Doug and Tim discuss the things money can't solve. In our society, it's common for us to think that money is the solution to all our problems (even if it's a subconscious belief) and we often forget that there are other things that are more important than money.

We believe that making more money will help us get to a certain point where we will be able to work less, have the freedom to travel and have more time to spend with our family. Yet, while we are busy hustling and wanting to provide more for our family, we are losing our relationships and the problem becomes worse.   We need to understand that building connections within our relationships is much more significant than chasing money. We don't need to buy unnecessary things or spend too much money for a vacation in order to spend time and be connected with our family. Being present and spending quality time with them is already enough to solve that problem.   We get to be aware that money isn't the only solution for everything. Recognize the problem, find the root cause and solve it right away to break the chain.       What you will discover in this episode: 1. That money can't solve everything 2. Building relationships are more important than money 3. Recognizing the root cause of the problem to break the chain 4. Spending money for unnecessary things to solve a problem will just create more problems

  • Regrets of a Father

    Episode 32

In this episode, Doug and Tim discuss the regrets of a father and the importance of giving your time and presence to your family.

Fathers are builders because they build something for their family and for their future. They are often away from their family to hustle and make money so that someday they can do all things with their loved ones. But...what happens is they wake up one day realizing how much time has passed.

We talk about the importance of providing emotionally. Giving your partner, your kids, your family & friends your quality time. Being physically and emotionally present for them is beyond any amount of money because it is the memory and the legacy that you leave to them.

This is a wake-up call to start making a change. Recognize your priorities as a father and set your life up in accordance with your priorities.

Spend quality time with your kids, play with them while you still can, appreciate and educate them because these are the values that will be instilled to them as they grow old...not the money as their priority.

In this episode you will learn:

    1. The importance of quality time and presence
    2. Importance of proving emotionally for the family
    3. Knowing your priorities as a father
    4. Matching your calendar with your priorities
