Earlier this month I had the pleasure of sitting down with Paul Mizon, Bedford and County Runner to discuss his phenomenal journey and progression through the years.
His journey started around a lake, running 5km as he simply didn't want to pay a joining fee at the gym.
He now has run 14.40 for 5km, 67 minutes over half marathon distance and still wants to go quicker.
His 'keep at it' attitude and determination has seen him progress and we talk through what else has contributed to these times.
As Covid-19 (coronavirus) has hit, it's had a huge impact on health, mental well-being, jobs, the economy but also the spring race calendar for runners.
I took the opportunity to sit down with three lovely ladies who all had Spring Marathons booked and how this will impact their race calendar and training for the rest of the year.
We discuss the emotions, feelings and thought processes in the midst of it all.
Hope you enjoy this bonus episode.
Mark joined me to chat through his running journey, going from a guy who ran in big hoodies in the dark for 10 minutes to tackling an 145 mile race along the Grand Union Canal.
He's part of the 100 marathon club, ran multiple ultras and likes to see how far he challenge and test his body.
We spoke about nutrition and how to prepare for long distance races and also how we then wrote his own book documenting the various challenges he's set himself.
A great chat even though he got attacked slightly by one of my cats Lily.

In episode 4 I had the pleasure of chatting to Chasing Chaplin about her running journey, her love for Ultras, how to overcome injury as she'd had a few to battle and the special instagram community we have.
I loved this chat with Ana as she likes to keep things real and raw and loves to say yes to a challenge.
Can't wait to have her later on in the year to chat through all these mad challenges she's set herself for 2020.

I'm joined by Duncan from DSF Coaching a performance mindset coach to discuss how as runners we can have a 'toolbox' ready of strategies to enhance our running performance.
We chat how being aware of your mindset can affect not only race day but during training too.
I loved chatting to Duncan as we've worked together in the past and I've had such a positive experience.
You can find Duncan Facebook and Instagram on DSF Coaching. His new e-book is now available online www.dsfcoaching.com/shop and listen to his podcast DSF Coaching Conversations on Apple and Spotify.

In episode 2 I sit down with Naomi Avery, a client and now good friend of mine to chat about fundraising and challenges.
In 2018, Naomi took on a year long challenge to raise money for the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity which enabled her to use the funds raised to benefit the ward she works on.
We chatted about the challenge, how she found the fundraising and what challenges we have this year in 2020. Including a few tips to help you out with your fundraising too.
