Today I am sharing one of my Instagram posts about the topic of Hormonal Acne since it got such an amazing response from my audience. This episode is all about treating and healing skin when it sends us signs that something is wrong.
Here is my personal story, I battled for over 8 years with acne, now I have clear skin, but believe me it wasn't always like this. I started dealing with very bad acne during my second pregnancy. It was a baby boy, and I started thinking that my boy's testosterone might be affecting my skin, and also found that the males in my family had suffered from terrible acne. I tried everything! And nothing worked. Researching in my own life, I realized that taking birth control pills for many years and using a prescription cream for 9 years twice a day had kept the acne under control but when I stopped them, the acne came out. It was always there, but I did not notice it until years later.
I was talking with a friend who has treated anxiety with Chinese medicine and I realized that I haven't been paying attention to my liver! The heat in my liver was causing this waking. I started acupuncture, along with liver and kidney tonics, and I started to notice the difference in my skin! Detoxing too fast did not help, time was needed for me to heal. It took a full year to see the real change. Today, I know my skin is my GPS, it tells me when I am getting off road.
Find the right questions you need to ask yourself below, as well as the steps to follow to heal your skin starting from within!

The root of who you are is in your digestive system, your gut, your microbiome. If you want to understand your health you need to start with your gut, by asking the right questions, and listening to the messages your body is giving you.
The entire digestive system works like an orchestra, to break down the food that we consume and to absorb the nutrients in it and remove the waste out of the system. If any part of the digestive system is not working right , another part will have to take care of this function.
What are the signs that your gut is giving when it's not working properly? Gas, burping, bloating, indigestion, pain, discomfort on the left and right, lower intestinal pain, reflux, acidity, exhaustion, headache, anxiety, hyperactivity, constipation, diarrhea… this is not ok! How did this happen? The over sanitizing of our lives, processed food, chemicals and preservatives, GMOs, medications, stress, too much alcohol, coffee, food sensitivities…your digestive system can even be irritated by your personal care products!
Fast tip: These are the foundational supplements that all humans need: Vitamin D, Omega 3 fatty acids, Magnesium, Whole Food Complex, and Probiotics.
What about leaky gut? In this episode I explain to you in detail how it starts, which are the biggest signs of a leaky gut and how it progresses until your immune system gets exhausted. A leaky gut can also be the origin of autoimmune illnesses.
Learn to identify how your bowel movements are talking about your gut health.
Check for these four areas for your own personal symptomatology: How is your: Mood, Poop, Sleep and Skin (Just as you would with a baby!).
So, what do you do now??!! First: remove what is irritating your system, second choose your food wisely, third: Repair the damage, take supplements, spices and add nutrients, and fourth: Rebuild. It is not going to be easy, we have to be strong and start small, one step at the time.
You can start today! Get in touch with your body and start healing!

I am often asked: why simplicity? I think we end up teaching what we ourselves need the most! I was driving myself crazy with a nonstop schedule for many years, more exactly until I became a mother. You realize at that point, that your schedule is not your own anymore, and neither is your time.
The guilt came, and I just felt like running away! How can I shift this? Simplicity was the answer. Nothing happened immediately, but I started to resent anything that didn't follow this line of simplicity. I started to learn how to say No. I started to stay local and home. Going back home with my family was a tough decision, but the best I have ever made.
Ease and simplicity came hand in hand, it became my mantra.
Over the years I accomplished my goal to create this beautiful community, a tribe, a family.
I had to give myself a rest, at first I became isolated, but did my best work when I was well rested. That is how the online course came to life! The book, the projects all followed, they flowed and I enjoyed the journey!
You will discover your potential by slowing down, allowing yourself some healing, the process is uncomfortable, but you will thank it!
