Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance sound great on paper... but in real life? They’re messy, unpredictable, and rarely show up in order. I’m sharing how each stage actually unfolded for me, with stories pulled from my Grief Survival Guide mini-series on Sharp Tongue, plus a fresh take on what it really means to “process” loss.

I also unpack the difference between the classic five stages and the newer seven-stage model, and explain why grief doesn’t follow a rulebook it follows you, sometimes in sweatpants. Whether you’re deep in denial or mad at a bird (been there), this episode is here to help you feel seen, heard, and hopefully a little less alone.
