The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles is THE book to read if you want to understand how to become rich. Wattle explains that getting rich is a scientific process—not a superstitious one. It’s not based on luck, gambling, or anything that’s not grounded in “cause and effect.” The science of getting rich is “an exact science like algebra or arithmetic.” And once you learn these laws and obey them, you’ll get rich with mathematical certainty.

When I first read this book many years ago, it shifted my thinking. I went from not being able to pay my bills—to never paying a single bill late in over 20 years.

This book teaches you how to develop the certainty that you’ll always have the money for everything you need.

In this episode you’ll learn:

Why you must determine the “causes” of the effects you desire—and actually do what will cause those effects to show up

Cause and effect is about consistency (i.e., you’ll never boil water by taking the pot on and off the stove)

We have a conscious choice to direct our life any way that we want to direct it, thanks to free will

Getting rich is the result of doing things in a certain way

How your tolerations and excuses are preventing you from attaining riches

Why you need to raise your standards if you want to be rich

The only thing causes money to move in the world is SALES—which is also the most essential skillset in business

Environment, talent, intelligence, and being in a specific industry aren’t required for being rich. All that’s required is doing things “in the certain way,” which simply means “by law” or according to universal laws.

That should become your main focus if you want to get rich.
