Whenever we ask the universe for something—opportunity, money, people, situations, circumstances, sales—we’re also asking for chaos to show up in our life.

Most people have a tendency to want to run away from chaos, rather than accept it when it shows up. (And it will show up.) Although we want peace in our mind and in our heart, we need chaos in order to experience growth. Chaos consistently keeps us on the edge of life and gives us growth, and it can be very uncomfortable.

Close your eyes, sit quietly, and ask yourself, “What do I want to create?” Get yourself really focused on the thing you want to create. As you do that, you’re creating calm and significance out of chaos. That’s what it means to be a leader.
