Today I'm sharing an unbelievable interview with Sebastian Bates, who is a best-selling author, podcast host, retired professional fighter, father, and founder of The Warrior Academy.
Sebastian's story is amazingly inspiring. At 24, he experienced a horrendous BASE jump accident and was told he would never walk again.
He refused to accept that and through a combination of willpower and discipline, he recovered.
He shares his story with us and we dive into the details: his mindset, determination, his background as a fighter and teacher, his passion for helping others, and the impact he is having and wants to have through his philanthropic work at The Bates Foundation.
I hope this interview makes you feel as inspired and motivated as it made me!

As a child, were you responsible for cleaning the house? Cooking for your siblings? Taking care of an adult because they were unable to care for themselves?
Did the adults in your life expect emotional support from you? Did you mediate between family members?
If so, you may have Parentified Child Syndrome.
In this episode, I am breaking down the two types of child parentification, why it happens, symptoms you may have experienced, and steps to take to begin healing.

We chat about the journey of self-discovery that led me to leave my job, pursue grad school, and start a new career in the mental health field. Plus, how I learned how to prioritize my own needs and desires and set healthy boundaries as I did it!

Today I'm so excited to share this older interview I did on The Good Life Project podcast with Jonathan Fields. I hope you'll learn something new from this episode, whether or not you already know my story.
We chat about my early experience with alcoholism, how I left my career as an agent to fulfill my purpose as a therapist, and how we both balance being ourselves with being the face of our brands. Then, I share some advice about becoming and staying connected in long-term partnerships!

Are you tired of constantly putting others' needs before your own?
Do you feel like you get taken for granted in your relationships?
I am so excited to share this interview I did on Danny Morel's show, The Higher Self. Danny asked such amazing questions and we had a candid conversation about boundaries: the good, the bad, what people get wrong, how you can improve at setting boundaries, and so much more. I also share boundary scripts you can use.
Very thankful to Danny and his team for allowing us to share this with all of you. Make sure to check Danny's show out here: https://youtube.com/@DannyMorelshow

I am so excited to have my pal Dr. John Delony back on the show to talk about his new (and much-needed) book, Building A Non-Anxious Life.
Since the pandemic, so many of my clients, friends, and family members are anxious in a way they've never been before. I've even noticed it in myself, and I do not consider myself an anxious person!
I love the accessibility of John's work and his ideas. During the episode, he reviews six practical ways we can choose to do things differently to build non-anxious lives.
I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
