I am deeply passionate about redefining health by anchoring us back in the foundations of true wellness ; faith, mindset & trauma, nutrition, movement, sleep, hydration, connecting with nature and community. We are temples of the Holy Spirit, made by God for God, and when living in His design we can experience true wellness. When we begin to rebuild our bodies and reconnect the mind, body, and spirit, we are able to step into greater and deeper healing by God's grace.

This week I go over fat loss -- how to sustainably lose fat and build muscle, how trauma might be impacting your body, nutrition tips and tricks and ways that how you're eating now might be working against you, and creating a lifestyle change and focusing on how you feel eating truly nourishing whole foods over just trying to force yourself into a 60 day crash diet.

8-18 min : mindset, trauma, and repressed emotions or experiences that can be 'stuck' on you, making it more difficult to lose weight
19-52 min : reverse dieting, increasing protein and other macronutrients strategically to work FOR you, plating your food for success, how under eating is ruining your metabolism and goals, blood sugar importance, and more.

This week I have my sweet friend Alex on sharing about her story walking through grief, the suicide of her dad, and the process of healing that she went through spiritually, mentally, and physically. This week I have Dr.Ashton Popple on -- an incredible chiropractor who specializes in nervous system healing and brain optimization. Dr.Ashton shares vulnerably from her story of walking through chronic anxiety, repressed emotions and trauma, and how all of this affected her body and mind and ultimately led to her body's collapse. She shares about her rock bottom moments and then how God led her out of this chronic anxiety and helped heal her heart and mind.

I am so excited to be back after some much needed time away -- this episode is really just an honest conversation with my husband about life right now, loving Jesus in and out of season, sharing about the things we are learning, pressing in when life gets hard, and remembering that there is always something to smile about. I pray the Lord meets you through this episode in some way -- He is with you, He will never forsake you, no matter how far you've walked away from God, you're never too far to make a turn and come home.

The podcast is hopefully going to be shifting to more intimate conversations and testimonies over interview style -- but ultimately, I am coming back with a renewed desire that Jesus is the one I want to proclaim, to glorify, to seek and to know, and that those who listen to this podcast would fall more in love with Him because of it than anything else.

This week is all about overcoming chronic coping & numbing.. why we do it, how emotions are designed to bring healing and balance to the body, and learning to lean in for the sake of wellness  

1-9 min : the journey of disconnection i walked along that began and kept me numb ; how i began to define emotion that led me to despair instead of healing & holiness 

10-11 min : questions to stop and ask yourself 

12-17 min : depression medication & the process of getting off; identifying the root of why i wanted to run away from emotion 

18-24 min : what is it for you? what are you trying to avoid? what are you afraid of? — research on emotional pain triggering physical pain receptors
