Dr. Steve played CBGB and Max’s Kansas City in the late 70s; drank, played in a toy rock band and then got sober in the 80s; became an international educator and rocker again in the 90s; and a sought after clinician and meditation teacher in the 2000s.
Dr. Steve has attempted to cure Marc Maron on WTF, and has become an EMDR Certified therapist, Approved Consultant and provider of EMDR Basic Training with Jamie Marich's Institute for Creative Mindfulness (http://www.instituteforcreativemindfulness.com/).
With Buddhist teacher Noah Levine he helped set up the premiere Buddhist addictions rehab center, Refuge Recovery Centers (http://www.refugerecovery.org/) and is currently putting finishing touches on his book and workshop series Clinical Dharma, giving regular talks at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society (http://www.againstthestream.org/)and with his own DharmaSpring, beginning production of two podcasts, seeing patients, and supervising and guiding young clinicians. At all other times, he is wrangling and entertaining his 6 year old daughter.

Dr. Theresa Larson received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Saint Augustine in San Diego California. She is a former Marine Corps Engineer Officer and Combat Veteran. Theresa played professional softball in Italy as well as semi-professional softball in the United States, was an All- American Division I softball player at Villanova University, as well as a former Body-for-Life Champion.

Marshall Lyles, LMFT-S, LPC-S, RPT-S, serves as the Director of Training, Supervision and Consultation at the Center for Relational Care in Austin, Texas. (http://relationalcare.org/)
Most of Marshall’s clinical practice has focused on attachment trauma and its effect on family relationships. In addition to seeing clients, Marshall conducts supervision and consultation sessions with counseling professionals and leads trainings in both parenting and professional settings; much of his consultation and training focuses on the use of sandtray therapy within a trauma-informed context.
As Marshall is nearing the completion of his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy, more writing opportunities are emerging which have become a passionate point of interest for him.

Karen Neuman Allen is the Director of the Social Work Program at Indiana University – Bloomington. She received her MSW and Ph.D. from Wayne State University.
Karen is a licensed clinical social worker as well as a certified trauma therapist and her hospital and private practice involves working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, severe illnesses and traumas such as burns, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, cancer and strokes.
