As the feminine energy rises on the planet, “the times they are a- changing”. 

Never before have we had such a mass interest in holistic healing and wellbeing. 

We’re waking up to our true nature and potential. 

We’re expanding.

And we’re craving more depth.

While super foods, power smoothies, fitness, Yoga and meditation are always going to be foundational to well being, a new take on what it truly means to thrive is emerging.

We’re moving beyond a simplistic mechanical view of the body; ( ie: the body is a machine that breaks and needs to be fixed), into a perspective steeped in the beautiful, cosmic, rich truth of who we are.

I’ve been working in the wellness industry for over 20 years now; initially as a Pilates and Yoga teacher and now as a Tantra/Jade Egg & Feminine Embodiment coach. 

And I can’t help but notice the changing of the tides; it’s more like a tsunami actually.  And it’s pretty darn exciting!

A new paradigm is being birthed. One that embraces the feminine. One that honors mind, body and spirit. One that celebrates the beauty, power and sacredness of our bodies and our sensuality.

We’re healing. 

We’re remembering. 

And we’re just getting started.

This is an episode about control. And I used to have lots of it. 
And it didn’t feel so good.

While I love that old Janet Jackson song, too much control can be really problematic.
As a former (and at times still recovering) control freak, I know this terrain well and I feel it’s something worth exploring. 

There’s a lot here.

I mean, who doesn’t like a little control? It can feel so good,.

Until it doesn’t.

Of course having some control in our lives is essential but in the world we live in, we can easily go overboard and even get addicted to having control and find ourselves in chronic survival mode.

Uber control is not sexy. It can shut down our sensuality and have serious effects on our mental and physical health. When we are '“white knuckling” our way through life we are literally putting ourselves in fight, flight and freeze and miles away from pleasure.

Instead of having all of our ducks in a row, I think there’s a lot of value in learning how to let those ducks swim. 

We can learn to let go and flow more and when we do, we get access to the most radiant, creative and powerful parts of ourselves.

Another Eclipse season is upon us! Even if you know nothing about astrology, just like when Mercury spins retro, it can be useful to know that things are not operating in "regularly scheduled program" mode.

 Eclipse season happens about every 6 months and offer us powerful invitations to make a quantum shifts. I like to call these cauldrons of transformation as the opportunities for self awareness, healing and inner alchemy are heightened.

Things can feel intense, emotions can run high,  and just like Mercury retrogrades, the energy can seem chaotic and abrupt, but when we work with these potent little portals with awareness and intention they can help realign us with our purpose and re-infuse us with passion for out path.

I wanted to do a short and sweet episode on this so that you can navigate this eclipse season (starting Oct. 14th, 2023) from a place of empowerment. There's a lot to work with here, if we choose to get curious and dive in.

I feel that the missing piece here is embodiment. When we awaken our feminine flow in our bodies, self trust is a natural result. 

Without rooted, embodied self trust life quickly becomes overwhelming and chaotic. But we can get our groove back.

And it’s really quite simple.

Chronically sucking in the belly messes with our breathing, keeps us in stress mode, cuts us off from our deepest power source and can exasperate pelvic floor issues of all kinds.

It's time for a new paradigm in fitness.
We need a holistic approach that includes all of who we are mind, body & spirit.
One that embraces the truth how we're actually designed.

To be honest, I've never been a fan.
Most of the women I know feel similarly.

Although the big K is still the standard advice for pelvic floor care, and can definitely deliver some tangible results, so many women I've met through my work over the years have had a hunch that there's more to explore.

Today I want to share a bit on something we all encounter pretty much on the daily; stress.

Stress is a fact of life, but unless we have the right tools to navigate it, it can wreak havoc on us body, mind and soul. It saps our vitality, ages us prematurely, cause all kinds of mental and physical aliments, and tanks our libido.

When we store unprocessed stress and the emotions connected to it in our bodies, it blocks our life force, natural radiance, creativity and joy.

Obviously, stress can be a major buzzkill.
But it doesn't have to go that way for you.

Mindset practices and affirmations can be great for managing stress, but if we want to go beyond simply managing stress to becoming a master navigator we need to dig deeper.

We need to think (and move) outside the box.

We need to tune into the body's wisdom and embrace the feminine principles of rhythm, flow, sensuality and giving space and permission to feel our full emotional range and ignite the ultimate healing elixir; our erotic power.

When we combine mindset or meditation practices with a daily does of feminine embodiment practice, we've got some potent tools to take the reins on stress and take back our power. Our fluid power that is.

Here's the thing that most women in my world know, but have trouble actually putting it into practice. We gotta get good, like really good, at creating boundaries!

And in my world that means creating boundaries that feel good.
And it's a lifelong practice.

Many of us were not taught that owning our inner authority is a legit thing to do.
For some of us it was downright dangerous.
And yet it's crucial if we truly want to thrive.

You get to be the boss of you.
You get to decide who gets access to your time, energy and essence.
Not everyone gets an all access pass.

You, as proud owner of your inner authority, you get to be author of your life.  You get to write the script. And it gets to feel good.

This is something I feel we can all use some more loving, spicy support on.

 That's why today's episode is about three steps to take to start creating boundaries that actually feel good.
