I used to sit on snapchat on my free time, peering into the lives of people I barely knew. in my mind, it felt like I was going through a never ending hell while they lived their best lives.

the fear of missing out drove me to seek out things I felt I deserved. it drove me to do things that were completely out of my character. it wasn't until my second semester of college that I realized... this wasn't who I wanted to be.

the romanticization of overachieving is so real. I feel like success used to be measure in consistency and focus, not in how many college club meetings you can attend in one night.

I think we have to learn our limits and we have to know when it's time to just scale back what we do. It's better to do less and do it exceptionally well than fail at doing way too many things.

I used to love toxicity. I loved when I didn't get a text back because I was being ignored or punished. I loved hearing my partner beg me to stay.

all of that chasing led me to a path of self destruction, until I found myself at ground zero. if this is your ground zero, I ask you to keep an open mind.
