On today's minisode, I'm talking about overwhelm.
We've all been there, when your to-do list is longer than your arm and you'd rather hide under the duvet than actually face everything you need to do.
Overwhlem can be debilitating, and it's certainly something that I'm more than familiar with. But...it is possible to get a handle on the panic. Today I share a few strategies that will help lessen those overwhelming thoughts, and instead have you feeling as though you're nailing life!
So press 'Play' and let me know what you think!

On today's Thursday Thoughts, Polly & I are talking about taking responsibility.
This subject can be triggering for many, and in this conversation we don't hold back...but if you want to change your life for the better, then it starts with taking responsibility for yourself and your life.
We can make excuses all day long as to why we haven't started the exercise regime, or left the job that's making us unhappy. We can blame other people and circumstances, and play the victim until the cows come home, but ultimately it's up to us.
We hope you'll find something useful in the 'tough love' in this conversation!
Love,
Polly & Lucy x

On today's minisode, I'm talking about my love of rebounding - and no, I don't mean rebounding of the relationship variety. I'm talking about my mini exercise trampoline!
So obsessed am I by this incredible way of working out, that I decided to do a minisode all about how I discovered it, why I love it, and why you should absolutely give it a go.
Not only does it feel way more fun than running or going to the gym, there are a whole host of health benefits that mean this little trampoline will be your new best friend in no time; not least the fact that it's one of the best ways to get rid of cellulite, AND it burns more calories than going for a run. Yup.
So, take a listen and let me know if you're going to get one!

On today's Thursday Thoughts, Polly & I are talking about the huge benefits of getting out into nature, and why we should all be getting outside as much as we can, even if it's just for a 15 minute walk in the nearest park.
There's no doubt that spending time with the birds, the bees, the trees, or whatever nature looks like for you, is good for the soul, as well as the body and mind.
We hope you find something useful in here!

On today's episode, I'm talking to my gorgeous, amazing, brilliant niece, Blue!
At the tender age of 17, Blue most certainly has her head screwed on, and I feel very lucky to have a niece like her. She also happens to be one third of a triplet, and the only girl out of four siblings including her older brother. But, Blue manages to more than hold her own in a male-dominated household!

On today's minisode, I'm talking about self-compassion.
Why is it that so many of us berate ourselves, judge ourselves, and punish ourselves, when really we should have our own backs? Why don't we talk to ourselves kindly in the same way we would a friend?
Inspired by our Book Club book in my Thrive Solo membership, Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff, I talk about my own journey to self-compassion, including how I used to be (and still can be) extremely self-critical.
I also talk about the three components of self-compassion according to Kristin Neff, as well as some of the benefits of practicing it.

On today's minisode, I'm talking about the peace that comes with living alone.
As single, childfree women, we are in the fortunate position of not having to deal with the moods and emotions of either a partner or children in our day to day home lives. But because most of the world is busy celebrating the 'traditional' way of life, the benefits of being the only human in your living space are rarely celebrated in the same way, if at all.
There is much to be said for not having to deal with a screaming toddler, a moody teenager, or an argumentative partner. Instead, we get to revel in the peace and calm of a household just for one. Heaven.

Let’s be real — being single and child-free? It’s pretty damn awesome. Don’t believe me? Stick around. I promise you, by listening to this podcast, you’re going to start seeing your solo life in a…
I’m Lucy Meggeson, and I’m here to help you stop seeing singlehood as a consolation prize and start embracing it as the incredible opportunity that it is. Because the truth? Being single isn’t second best. It’s not a waiting room. And it sure as hell isn’t a life of lack. In fact, when you lean into it, it can be just as fulfilling—if not more so—than being coupled up with kids.
And besides, no matter what our relationship status, what we all really want is to feel good in the here and now. So instead of focusing on what’s ‘missing,’ let’s focus on what’s possible. The freedom. The adventure. The extra time and headspace to create a life that’s truly our own.
Because here’s the thing: you are so much more powerful than you realise. Your thoughts shape your reality. And when you shift your mindset, you shift your life. My mission isn’t just to help you feel better about being single—it’s to help you recognise your own agency. To help you see that you are the creator of your own experience. And that you, and you alone, get to decide what your life looks like.
So join me here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and let’s build lives that feel joyful, meaningful, and wildly fulfilling — on our own terms.
Let’s Thrive Solo…together.
