We welcomed Amy Parmenter into our podcasting world at NETFIT. Not only is she an all-star netballer, she is also an all star human.
This podcast is all about getting to know Amy and her progress from grass root to elite. Amy started netball fairly late as she grew up playing all sports. She loved netball for the fact she was playing with all the girls, and she found her escape when she was going through a tough time at the start.
Listen in to why Amy loves netball; she loves giving off positive energy, the team sport environment is all about uplifting other teammates and Amy is that person that gets everyone up. To keep this energy up she likes to not worry about how hard it is for her. In hard situations she learnt to uplift everyone else.
Amy is all about getting through the mental barrier that she couldn't actually live her dream, now look at her exceling in her job. It took a lot of people around her to believe she has something special. It isn't about talent, it is about how hard you work.
2019 has been Amy's hardest netball year. The biggest difference was her mental side. Instead of netball being a hobby that she loved, it became her job. Mentally, Amy was exhausted and crashed by the end of the year. Every part of Amy's life made her think how this would affect her game, especially her nerves, which in turn lead to performance anxiety.
Amy has a tie dye charity that she further explains in this podcast. This is where Amy found her passion project and something she could do outside of netball and enjoy. Check it out on the below link.
