President Donald Trump is now turning to the highest court in the country to protect his tax returns from becoming public. Appeals courts have given approval for Democrats in Congress and the District Attorney in Manhattan to subpoena the President’s tax filings from his accounting firm. Last week, President Trump’s attorneys asked the Supreme Court to make the final call on this dispute. We’re waiting to see now whether the Supreme Court will take up the issue. Meantime, the President’s tax details will stay under wraps. Does the President have a right to privacy? Do his political opponents have a right to cut through that privacy? What about the American public?

Terry Tickhill Terrel was a19-year-old undergraduate student when she decided she wanted to go to Antarctica. Only problem, this was 1969. The US didn’t allow women to go Antarctica back then. But as luck would have it, that was about to change. That year she became part of the first all-female research team in Antarctica and the first women to reach the South Pole. The team arrived 50 years ago.
