As ZB's Afternoons show gets under way for another year, host Tyler Adams kicked off 2026 by proposing to his long-time partner, Maeve, in the Bay of Islands.

Adams revealed he'd been planning the proposal for a while and made sure to find the right secluded beach for the big moment.

"I brought the Go-Pro out of storage and set it up just behind the towels and got the angle just right, but of course she turned around...she knew by that point and I had to call her back up, got the dog to sit down and then awkwardly dropped the knee. The ring fell out of my hand at one point, I had to pick it up. But she was crying, then laughing."
