Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to feeling the moment. When was the last time you were present? More times than not, we as humans have the tendency to rob ourselves of feeling the moments that occur in our lives. Whether it’s a celebration and we’re consuming some sort of alcohol or drug. Striving for our goals without recognizing our accomplishments or simply put…not stopping to smell the roses. I want you to be present. No more racing. No more masking the feelings that you feel inside. No more trying to escape reality. I want you to feel each moment in your life. Having the ability to feel lets you know that you are alive.
It’s so easy to distract yourself so that time will pass you by, however, take note from rapper Pitbull in his hit single, “Feel This Moment” and be “like a stopwatch…stop time and enjoy [every] moment.” Yes, it’s time to take the good with the bad, be glad when you see every reason to be mad. Each moment of your life shapes you to be who you are. You can only learn more, experience more and be more so that you can tap into your true potential.
Listen here, don’t be afraid to feel…

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to knowing your worth. How much do you value yourself? Take a look around. What do you see? Are you in an unhealthy relationship? Do you have a job that you despise? Do you surround yourself with negative people? If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then perhaps it’s time for you to do an appraisal on your life.
How much are you worth? It’s a beautiful thing when you know your worth. When you know your worth, you do things that you love. You involve yourself in healthy relationships. You are clear that if something doesn’t serve you then it doesn't deserve you. No explanations or apologies needed.
We sell ourselves short when we comprise our well-being. Take note from the hit single, “Price Tag” by Jessie J as she belts, “it’s not about the money…forget about the price tag.” Yep, it’s about how much you value your life. It’s time to get off the “clearance rack” and get behind the glass where the valuables are kept.

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to being great. In fact, it’s a sin to be good when you’re supposed to be great. You are supposed to be great. Now the question stands, are you living an extraordinary life? Are you living your life making just enough money to get by? Are you in a relationship where you feel loved, appreciated, wanted and/or encouraged? Are you dedicating enough time to your dreams and aspirations?
If you’ve answered “no” to any of those questions, why are you robbing yourself out of life? It’s your right to live at your greatest potential. It’s your right to be great. It’s time for you to check yourself before you wreck yourself. Heck, half of the time we’re living a mediocre life because we’re used to getting mediocre results. We’re comfortable. However, attaining a life that overflows in abundance takes getting a little uncomfortable.
In the hit single, “I Can,” lyrically acclaimed rapper Nasir Jones encourages that you can be whatever it is that you want to be. “You can be anything in the world, in God we trust. An architect, doctor, maybe an actress, but nothing comes easy it takes much practice.” Are you ready to put in that work? Are you ready to live a life where you are nothing shy of great? I know I am. Now repeat after me, “I know I can (I know I can), be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be). If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it), I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be).”

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to receiving your degree in life. Imagine that? Who would have ever thought that one could receive a degree as such? I’m here to tell you it’s possible. You’ve probably heard the saying, “you’ll learn…just live a little longer.” My moma use to always say that and it’s funny, yet it's so true.
You know, some of the best lessons that you can learn in life are taught outside of the classroom. So that means you have to live a little. Meaning, don’t be afraid to make a mistake. Don’t be afraid to fall in love. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Don’t be afraid to LIVE! How could you ever know what’s for you and what isn’t for you if you never give it a try? Just imagine the countless experiences you’ve robbed yourself from, simply because you were too afraid to live. It’s ok not to have everything figured out. That’s what living is for!
As Beyonce stated in her hit single, “Schoolin’ Life,” stop stressing and “for now make your life what you decide.” It’s time for you to step outside of your comfort zone. Embrace the art of feeling, the good and the bad. I just want you to feel something! And always remember, “there's not a 'right' way to live this…stay relentless. Don't stop running until it's finished. It’s up to you, the rest is unwritten.”

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to the “grind.” Are you putting in that work? That work for your relationship, career, dreams whatever it is that is important to you, just know that you must put in that work. Understand that things don’t work unless you do.
In life, oftentimes we have the tendency to think things happen overnight. No, things that matter take time. You must put in that sweat equity. Will it be uncomfortable? Yes! Will it hurt? Yes! You must trust the due process. That’s where the story lies. The space between where you are now and where your goal is, your dream, that’s called the process; a process that requires you to put in work.
In the hit single, “Work” rapper Iggy Azalea states, “Hustle and the struggle is the only thing I'm trusting.” Trust the struggle. The struggle forces you to move. The struggle forces you to make a decision. The struggle is your story. Now let’s work!

Today’s dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to the power of discernment. In life, we have distractions all around us. However, it is up to us to listen to the voice within. Some like to call it instinct, others like to call it gut, some even may like to call it God. Whichever name you choose, just know it exists inside each and every one of us. However, not everyone recognizes it. Why is that? Well, it’s because we are not one with ourselves. We haven’t taken the time to sit down with ourselves, to learn ourselves and to become at peace with ourselves.
I know when I was a little kid, I could recognize the jingle of my mama's keys. No matter who was around with keys, I knew the sound of my mama’s keys. So as it relates to you. Do you know the sound of your inner voice? Do you recognize the voice that speaks to you in your most difficult hour? The same voice that tells you what is right, when all you can see what is wrong. Yes, that voice. It may not seem to make sense on the surface, but deep down inside it’s speaking to you. I want you to tap into that voice. Get familiar with yourself.
In the hit single, “The Voice Within,” Christina Aguilera urges you to “look inside yourself, like your oldest friend [and] trust the voice within.” Yes, trust that voice. It will guide and lead you down the path of endless opportunities and abundance. No more looking outside and entertaining everyone else's life and their distractions. Take the time to listen to yourself and just trust the voice within.

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to finding the real you. Finding out what makes you tick. Knowing what matters in your life and what doesn’t. Tapping into your true potential and aligning yourself with the path to your purpose.
Oftentimes in figuring out who we are, is realizing who we’re not. There is no right or wrong way to do this. You must do what works best for you. Keeping your eyes in your lane and staying focused on running your race. That’s what I like to call doing you.
In doing you, you may fall. Sometimes you fall down because there’s something down there that you’re supposed to find. You may repeatedly fall because you have yet to find it. If and when you fall, lose yourself completely. Lose yourself so that the next time you get up you are renewed. Ridding yourself of those ideals of what and whom you thought you’re “supposed” to be. Discover your sense of purpose and restore your vision so that obstacles are no longer roadblocks, but stepping-stones.
Just like Eminem stated in his hit song “Lose Yourself,” sometimes in life you have to lose yourself so that you can get to the point in saying that “success is my only option, failure is not.” Catch it!
