Wake Up With Weslie episodes

  • Ep. 9 - Mandyjean Broadbent talks about a brand new anti-aging treatment, happiness after divorce, and her time being a single parent-ALSO!..get ready, 'cause there is a HUGE GIVEAWAY in this episode!!

How do you feel about aging? Do you fight it tooth and nail, or let go of control and embrace the process? I've found that I've landed really smoothly right in the middle of embracing nature taking its course, while still doing certain things that help preserve the only skin I'm in.

The plasm pen (also called fibroblasting) is one of the newest anti aging trends that has hit the USA---and guys, I'm all about it.

Mandyjean schools us on what the plasma pen is and how it naturally lifts and tightens the skin, while smoothing out wrinkles AND wakes up your fibroblast cells to build collagen.

She delves into her personal story of finding happiness after divorce and how she feels she was carried through that event by all the lovely women in her life.  Mandyjean wants to pay it forward to you guys, the listeners, by giving away a series of 3 plasma pen treatments to one lucky listener!

    To enter the giveaway:

    2) Follow both Mandyjean (@plasma.perfecting.pen) and Weslie (@wokewithweslie) on instagram.

  • Ep. 8 - Courtney Hill talks about her Eating Disorder and Recovery process.

***TRIGGER WARNING: This episode talks of eating disorders and recovery, body image, body weight, and starvation. Please do no listen if this sort of discussion is harmful to you.

Courtney Hill is a little spit fire. She's courageous, funny, full of light, and the life of the party at every party.....She also has struggled with a deeply horrific eating disorder for years. She takes us along on her journey of how it started for her, how she recovered, and her thoughts on body image and health in general today. Weslie discusses how body image has seeped into every aspect of her life, and touches on her worries about raising daughters in a society obsessed with bodies.  Courtney gives us great advice on what to say, and not to say when someone you love is in the throws of this addiction.

  • Ep. 7 - Rory Markham, Weslie's brother and sound guru on WOKE, talks about how going to jail for not paying a ticket woke him up.

Rory and Weslie are brother and sister. He has more natural talent stored in his pinky finger than Weslie has throughout her whole body--and this drives Weslie nuts. They talk about roles they each played in their family as children and now as adults, how they both hate instagram, Rory's musical abilities, and stories of Rory's wild youth being in an 80's hair metal band, his mix ups with the law, and his transition into the healthy, well rounded adult that he is today.

If you're in need of music, intros, or sound engineering email RORY directly at: [email protected]

And find him on instagram @rorymarkham.....but beware, he hates instagram

  • Ep. 1 - Waking Up

Weslie Christensen is WOKE. After a lifetime of people pleasing and having an easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy, go with the flow attitude, something snapped and she found herself at rockbottom. Her awakening since that point has been a wild ride of ups and downs, with twists and turns—but it has surely been the most fun and freeing ride she’s ever been on.   Weslie believes that by simply hearing the stories of her and her guest's awakenings that you can start to wake up, too.
