“网红”的英文怎么说？

来看维基百科对“网红”的定义：
“
An internet celebrity,blogebrity,cyberstar,or online celebrity is someone who has become famous by means of the Internet. Internet allows people to reach a narrow audience across the world and so become famous within one or more Internet communities.
上面提及的：

internet celebrity [səˈlebrəti]、blogebrity、cyberstar、online celebrity

都可以用来表示网红

另外国外媒体还会用：

web celebrity 或 web sensation来表达“网红”

例：
She is not only a net celebrity, but also a representative of Chinese culture.
她不只是一个网红，更是中国文化的缩影。
Her first video went viral and she's been an Internet celebrity ever since then.
她的第一个视频在网路上爆红，从那之后，她就成为了一名网红。


第二个例句中出现了一个短语：

go viral 在网路上爆红
“
viral 这个单字本身是指“病毒”，所以 go viral 是形容“像病毒一样蔓延开来”，用来表示“某人、某篇文或某支影片，在社交媒体或网路平台上被人大量分享、点阅而造成轰动”。
还有另外一个单词influencer [ˈɪn.flu.ən.sər]

意思是：有影响力的人

什么是网红？

不正是可以影响别人的人嘛~

这个单词也经常用来形容“网红”

“红人，宠儿”的英文表达

可以说：

blue-eyed boy

（千万不要以为是“蓝眼睛的男孩”）

blue-eyed boy来源于英式英语

意为“受宠的人”，“红人”（多用于贬义）

当然了

你也可以用“blue-eyed boy on the internet”表示网红！

例：
He's become the boss's blue-eyed boy.
他成为了老板跟前的红人。
She was the media's blue-eyed boy.
她是媒体的宠儿。

“过气网红”的英文表达

翻译“过气”这样口语化的词汇

可以“解释性翻译”

比如你可以说成：

a web celebrity who's not popluar any more

但这样的翻译，虽然意思传达了，却总感觉少了那么点“意思”

在英语表达中

有一个现成的说法可以和“过气”对应

那就是：has-been

一个简单的“现在完成时”就表达了“过气”

《柯林斯词典》里是这样定义的：
“
If you describe someone as a has-been, you are indicating in an unkind way that they were important or respected in the past, but they are not now.
如果你把某人称为是has-been，那么你就是在不客气地暗示那人曾经受人重视和尊重，而如今却不是了。
所以，我们可以看到这样的新闻标题：

例：
He is dismissed as a has-been in his profession.
他被认为是该行业中的过时人物而遭解雇了。
