Family is unshakeable, and a gift to obtain, let alone maintain. We are born into families. If we lose them, we can find them. We can’t live without them. We learn from them, we’re cared for by them, we care for them. Families shape the way we perceive the world, and the way we decide not to see the world. They shape our character, demand our willingness to compromise and be patient. They require sacrifice and humility, and they return great reward. How many times have you been inspired by a parent, a sibling, an aunt, a cousin? Where would you be if you did not have the support of your family members, even if only in the thought of them after they pass, or in the hope for them if you’ve yet to find them? No family is perfect, and many have not experienced the blessings of an ideal family, but we celebrate the hoping for and working for families everywhere!
