Today's episode is so special to me and marks an important start to April which is also PMD Awareness Month! My guest today is Sandi MacDonald and she is the co-founder of IAPMD which is the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders.
She started experiencing different symptoms and behaviors early in her life, as early as high school. Through many years of struggling emotionally and physically, she was always asking what was happening to her. She saw doctors, therapists, and tried different medications, but nothing was a cure.
It was not until she became a mother that she finally started to find answers. Sandi discovered that she had PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder). PMDD is something that is not widely talked about but Sandi has decided to bring it to the surface!
