What the Narcissist's Playbook Doesn't Cover - Plus Q&A - Narcissists use a predictable playbook for how to get what they want. It's not just the charismatic and successful business people who are narcissists. Narcissism is a trait that exists in all walks of life - not limited to the top 1%. Narcissism can do more than break down relationships, it can ruin lives. NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) needs to be taken seriously by all of us, and we need to raise awareness. Being aware of those toxic friends and family members when we suspect they might have reached a level where they qualify for NPD can also be very helpful.

We've all heard this- "Never give them the satisfaction", "Don't care what other people think", "You have to walk away"... but the reality is that narcissists come from all walks of life. They are not limited to personalities only found in reality television or the movies. They might be wealthy, or they might be without two nickels to rub together. They might be highly attractive, or not. They might be male or female. Sadly, they can be literally anyone. Pathological narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths, the main component of which is narcissism, are everywhere. Narcissists are your neighbors, your bosses, your teachers, your best friends... wherever there are other people, you have narcissists.
