As children, we create a control dynamic in order to deal with life's happenings.
For example, maybe you were the eldest child and had all the love and attention from your caregivers. Then, your sibling is born and that love and attention is shared. Unconsciously you make a decision about what that means and how to behave in order to gain control back. Maybe it's by being overpowering to your younger sibling or becoming reckless to take the attention back. This is control dynamics at play and we all do it to feel safe.
I've recently uncovered one for myself which I share about in today's episode.
