Most of our understanding of coronavirus immunity is based on studies on seasonal coronaviruses. However, we know that antibodies detected in SARS and MERS survivors linger for years. All these form the assumptions on what would be the expected immune response against COVID-19. Still, there are lots of questions, like COVID-19 reinfection, false-positive coronavirus test results, and the uncertainty of getting herd immunity.
