Angela, mother of 3, recounts her experiences being married nearly ten years to a porn-addicted man who later came out as transgender. Lasting damage to families, the sissification of men, and additional financial, social and legal burdens to wives and mothers.  

Despite her difficulties, Angela maintains a spirit of empathy and compassion as she discusses how she gained the courage to leave her ex-husband, how she educates her children and why she’s stepped away from liberal politics to instead cultivate support in sisterhood and religion. Female erasure in the form of opting out from the oppressed class to the oppressor class is yet another tactic of the patriarchy to control and exploit women’s reproductive capacity. Despite real dangers and risks, we must face the medical industrial complex as embodied women to counter the disturbing commodification of our bodies and minds.
