Ever struggled to give up a particular food or food group? Surprisingly, it’s often deeper than “I just really like it”. Often foods that invoke a pleasure response come with other emotions and over time this results in an emotional dependency on food that becomes part of our identity and the way we function every day. The untethering process can be tricky but is absolutely possible and the first step is understanding why that attachment exists in the first place, which is what we talk about in this episode. 

On this episode I cover:

  • Why we get attached to food
  • Identify the emotion that that your binge eating is supporting 
  • How to resolve or end that attachment so you can get healthy
