While it’s a good thing that being in therapy is becoming more socially accepted, someone who is in therapy does not always equal the perfect relationship choice. Just like doing personal development work does not guarantee becoming a well-adjusted person.

Therapy and personal development have become crutches to some extent, like a green flag that this is a person worth dating because they’re doing the work. But there are plenty of well-adjusted men (and women) who had wonderful upbringings and have never set foot in a therapist’s office…does that make them unworthy of a date?
