Why systems are actually the sexiest part of your business

Let’s face it, unless you’re a tech geek like me, you probably hear “systems” or “processes” and cringe. Maybe they make you upset, or put you in a freeze state, but after today’s episode that is alllll gonna change. Because really, systems are the sexiest part of your business.

First of all, what are systems?

Systems are a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method. I.e., "the public school system”

Also - a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network. I.e., “the railroad system”

In this program, we’ll be exploring 2 types of “systems” that are reflected in those definition:

  1. The procedures we put in place so that our business & our team works efficiently.
  2. The automations we put in place to take work out of our team’s hands.

Building systems in our business is a High Level CEO activity.

But honestly, you do not need systems in place to get to 6 figures in business. You can absolutely do it all yourself & scheduling calls on the fly in your DMs, and manually sending invoices, and sending client onboarding materials as you need to…

But systems are key for growing your business with ease.

Even if you don’t give a fuck about being more than making enough in your business to cover your expenses and pay yourself enough for a comfortable lifestyle…

...creating systems leads to you having more flow and ease in your work life, with replicable success time and time again.

And if you are setting out for a 8-figure empire, then systems are mission critical. Externalizing your time, energy, and expertise is required.

And if you’ve found yourself in a plateau, where you aren’t seeing consistent growth, or your revenue is all over the place month by month, please pay attention. Systems may be your missing piece!

4 Reasons Why business systems matter
  1. They make epic client results more consistent
    1. Clients actually go through your program because they’re properly onboarded
  2. They save you money
    1. Great systems automate as much as possible, which makes you need less of a team, or at least saves your team time
  3. They save you time
    1. Biz is soul purpose, but you won’t always want to or be able to give it your full attention
      1. “But I love my business! It’s my life work!! It’s my soul purpose! I don’t want to sell it or stop working at it, why would I care about it being independent of me??”
      2. It is a disservice to your business & YOUR MISSION if you build a business that is dependent on you.
      3. 1. Your priorities will change over time.
        1. Babies
        2. Family
        3. Health
        4. Travel
        5. Passion Projects
        6. Philanthropy…
      4. 2. When your business does not need you to make money, and money is flowing into your life as profits from your business, you will only show up from inspiration, from service, from creative spark, from passion.
  4. It empowers your business to be strong (without you)
There are three phases of your business:
  1. The startup phase, where your business is completely reliant on you. Like an infant, you have to nurse it, it's crying all the time. You're putting a lot of money & energy into it.
  2. The owner-reliant stage, where your business is growing up. It’s like a teenager. It’s running on its own in some ways, but you still have to show up every single day.
  3. The owner-independent stage, where your business could run without you. If you took a year off, it wouldn't really matter.

We’re trying to move toward the owner-independent phase, not only to lessen your stress as a business owner…

...but also because this gives you the opportunity to only show up in your business from a place of inspiration, as a higher calling, instead of showing up out of necessity & obligation.

As magical business owners, we tend to focus on increasing our personal power through our rituals, our meditations, our mindset work.

But this is only a fraction of the picture and the power that we have access to.

Your business is a separate entity from you, and it can be a powerful ally.

Creating systems is building up the power in your business. Some examples of what systems can do:
  • Attract leads
  • Scheduling calls
  • Easier launches
  • Funnels replacing launches
  • Onboard clients
  • Get testimonials
Systems are sexy
  • Because they allow you to be in a less reactive state & be in parasympathetic state of receiving
  • You can be in your feminine while your business holds masculine structure
Why now?
  • Because you’re stressed out & overwhelmed & this will bring ease to your next level growth
  • Because you’re already chill in business but you aren’t growing like you like to and you look around and see people who aren’t as talented as you getting more recognition & making more money
