Fries
Dutch fries are thicker than French fries and have a few different names: patat, friet, and frites. They're usually served in a paper cone or box — making them perfect to eat while walking.
Bitterballen
Bitterballen are a popular bar snack made with beef. To make the Bitterballen, a thick beef gravy is cooled so it can be made into balls, covered in breadcrumbs and deep-fried.
Stroopwafel
If you want a sweet snack, try a stroopwafel, which translates to "syrup waffle." A stroopwafel is made by cutting a thin baked waffle in half, which is then put back together with a caramel syrup. The best stroopwafels come from street markets and bakeries.
