If you're afraid of heights you might want to stop reading now. Embassy Gardens, a London development, will soon be opening what has been called the world's first Sky Pool.
The completely transparent swimming pool has been built between the roofs of two buildings, making swimmers look like they are floating in the air.
 
At 25 meters long and 3.2 meters deep, the pool stretches across the 14 meter gap between two apartment buildings in the southwest of London. Swimmers will float 35 meters above the ground, and will be able to see through the pool's transparent bottom to the city streets below.
 
Brian Eckersley is the director of Eckersley O'Callaghan, one of the companies that designed and built the Sky Pool. He says that, when swimming, residents "can look right down. It will be like flying."The pool was made in Colorado, and traveled more than 8,000 kilometers before getting to its new home above the streets of London.
 
However, if you like the idea of swimming in the Sky Pool don't go booking your trip to London just yet; the pool will only be open to residents of Embassy Gardens and their guests. Residents can also use other amenities, like bars, lounges, a gym, and even a private cinema.
