Sweden's Icehotel — the world's first hotel made entirely from snow and ice — has opened 12 new art suites, where guests can stay during the winter, and six new rooms that will be available throughout the year.
While part of the hotel has been open year-round since 2016, special suites and art projects are built each winter, and last until spring.
Each of this year's winter suites has a unique theme, such as the Toybox room — a room full of icy sculptures and toys — the ice-cold Sauna room, and the frozen Winter Garden suite.
According to Icehotel, 35 artists from around the world have worked on this year's winter suites. Guests can learn about each project by scanning a QR code in their room that plays an audio guide.
The hotel also has a bar where drinks are served in glasses made of ice, as well as a ceremony hall where weddings and other events are held from December to April.
There are a number of unique outdoor experiences to choose from as well. Visitors can take a snowmobile ride under the northern lights, and in summer they can enjoy a hike under the midnight sun.
