And some students feel frustrated simply by the fact that they do not understand every word in a book. What can be done so that you can fall in love with reading a little bit more easily?

What does confidence really mean? What is the relationship between having confidence and the desire to achieve perfection? What is the relationship between having confidence and having self-love? What is the relationship between confidence and self-awareness?
I believe that if you are going to learn a language well, you will have to master confidence.
Recently, one of the comments posted on my YouTube channel about my outward appearance prompted me to think about this issue – confidence. And I’d like to share with you what I think.

Many students tell me that they are living in fear and anxiety every day due to the recent global health emergency. Indeed, it could be hard, and more important than EVER, to attend to our mental health and preserve our oh-so-precious peace of mind. In this episode, I’ll share with you the tips I swear by for staying sane in this day and age where sanity is almost a luxury and how to keep learning English despite my super hectic work schedule. The first piece of advice that I stick to is that I try my best to incorporate learning into my daily routine. This way, I make sure that I learn just a LITTLE BIT more every day and keep making SOME progress. (As I’ve always said to my students, learning English is like going on a diet. Crash diets NEVER work. The only sustainable solution is keeping fit, which is a year-round habit rather than a one-off action)I will elaborate more on this in this episode. The second piece of advice that I stick to is that I try my best to stay emotionally stable, calm and composed because, otherwise, I can’t learn! I do so my practising meditation and scheduling breaks in between blocks of time when I read the news. I block out time to make sure that while I’m working, I don’t get interrupted by unnerving news notifications from mobile apps or news outlets. I make sure that I do NOT read too much news because doing so can rob me of my peace of mind.Again, I will tell you more about this in the episode.See you inside!
I've spent some time preparing a word list / vocabulary cheat sheet for you guys on the theme of Wuhan coronavirus but some of you guys have told me that you don't know how to pronounce some of the words on the list! No worries cause I'VE GOT YOU COVERED! 🙂 Listen to this episode to learn all the words related to the epidemic so that you can tell your friends who live overseas about what is happening in Hong Kong! And don't forget to keep healthy! As the old saying goes - Health is wealth.Cheers, Tiffany
I’ve always believed that family education plays a crucial role in a child’s process of growing up. Growing up as a kid and a teenager who has always loved learning languages and especially English, I, of course, it’s no exception to this rule. There are many factors at play which have nurtured me into the language lover that I am today. For example, my dad was an English teacher (now retired!) I loved sharing with me Stories about a teaching career and language learning; During childhood and adolescence, playing language-themed games was one of our most fun past times in my family. Language learning has always felt more like a fun family activity than exam preparation sessions to me.All this, I believe, goes to show that the more fun you have in the learning process, the more effectively you can learn. I don’t believe that either pain or rote memorisation can help you learn a language properly, in other words. You have to find ways to enjoy the process of learning to become a successful learner.Listen to this episode to get to hear my personal story - how my family education has shaped me into the language (especially English) lover that I am today.
