In my latest podcast interview, London estate agent Meghan Eighteen of Location Location shared her perspective on what really maximizes a home's value when it comes time to sell.
When asked what the one thing is that truly maximizes a home's sale price, Megan's response cut through the usual tips of painting the front door yellow or baking bread.
"In reality, I think we all know that the true value of a property, aside from the obvious things like presentation, is the estate agent," she stated.
Megan explained that a subpar estate agent simply won't be able to get top dollar for your home. She pointed to past statistics showing that homes sold by primarily online agencies like Purplebricks sold for less on average than those sold by traditional high street estate agents.
"If you've got the right agent, your property will achieve the right price," she summarised.
