【聊了什么The What】
Continuing from our very first episode “Holding Space for Women in Comedy”, we’re launching a new series called Funny Women Talk. What kinds of observations and challenges arise when women choose to approach life with humor, stay creative, and step onto the stage? This ongoing series invites women whose creative expression is rooted in humor to share their experiences. Together, we hope to redefine what it means to be funny, to embrace humor as a feminine trait, and to explore what makes comedy created by women different.
In this episode, Yaoshi invites Taiwanese stand-up comedian Vickie Wang. From Taiwan to Shanghai and then to New York, Vickie explores how a lack of belonging can become a surprising strength in comedy writing. How do women use stand-up comedy to claim space, pushing against the comfort zones of men? Let’s hear from Vickie Wang.
