This episode has been a long time in the coming, I’ve been queried about parenting and Human Design so many times and I put the call out to the Universe and of course, she delivered! 

So here in this episode I talk with Human Design Parenting expert Kristin Shorter to delve deep into how we can use our Human Design and that of our children to connect, understand and respond to the needs of parenting.

Kristin Shorter is a #1 best-selling author, Human Design Specialist, Family Coach Facilitator, teacher and mother of three.  Kristin believes that parenting is the most important job on the planet and specializes in working with families to raise kids that are resilient to peer pressure and have high self-esteem. 

Born and raised in Texas, Kristin graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s in psychology and is certified as a Victims Outreach Specialist through the University of Texas in Austin.

But, most importantly, her 20+ years as a mother has given her the education and dedication to support parents in having a deeper connection with their children so they experience more love and joy in their relationship with their child.

From her work, Kristin knows that children have 4 basic emotional needs.  When children lack the language to explain their feelings, they use their behavior as their voice.  As children mature, if they do not learn how to communicate when their emotional needs are not met, they continue to act out or “misbehave” as a form of communication. 

Kristin’s work centers around identifying what need the behavior is communicating and techniques to support children in communicating instead of “misbehaving.”
