1248: Strategies Dealing With Major Set Backs

  1. Take time to process (1-2 days) denial- anger - bargaining - depression - acceptance: 6:00-13:00
  2. List out what you can control and what you can’t: 13:00-19:00
  3. Write out next steps and who’s involved in the next steps (contact points etc): 19:00-22:10
  4. Look at the silver lining, what can be learned, this will make me stronger in future, this is practice for later: 22:10-23:10
  5. Reflect on other times in your life which felt impossible and use threat proof to get out: 23:10-25:00
  6. Find others who you know who’ve gone through something similar and ask them how they handled it (can also find examples online): 25:00-27:00
  7. Take small consistent actions to feel progress, don’t get bogged down: 27:00-28:00
  8. Ask yourself in 12 months from now what would you regret about this process if you didn’t do it: 28:00-30:00
  9. Bonus: know that you can train to prevent these things: 30:00-end
