It’s bad enough to be afraid of getting breast cancer. But if you are diagnosed, what they don’t tell you is the number one side effect is the fear of recurrence. You are always going to be looking behind your shoulder to see if it’s following you. It’s the monster under the bed that no one wants to talk about.
In honor of breast cancer awareness month, I have a special treat for you today on the show. The other week, I spoke to a group of survivors about the fear of recurrence and the 5 steps they can take to not just empower themselves so they don’t live in fear, but to actually minimize the risk. We were able to tape the speech, and that is what you are going to listen to today. You’re going to laugh, and get a little Hollitude, but all in the name of love. Because as a 14-year survivor, the information you’re going to hear today is not just for survivors, it’s for any woman who wants to reduce her risk of developing this disease. This is the episode you are going to want to share with your mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
