How do you go about changing when you come from a family are big drinkers, not just your family but your partner's family? This can be a challenge that many of us face particularly if we have grown up seeking approval from those closest to us. In this episode I catch up with new mum Elise Kermeen, we chat about life as a new Mum in sobriety and the choice not to go back to drinking after you finish breast feeding. Elise decided to give up the booze when she realised that alcohol was taking its toll on her mental health and her relationship. Dealing with unresolved trauma and the massive grief from losing her brother it's been a long road of self acceptance and learning to be with her feelings but Elise is bravely stepping into sobriety and doing life on her terms.
