There’s so much messaging out there about weight loss and overeating. It’s so constant, and our exposure to it starts so early, that it’s easy to forget that the themes and refrains aren’t necessarily truths or helpful and that the messaging doesn’t address the complete overeating puzzle. Marketing from the weight loss industry promotes quick fixes, with the idea that if you do things right - if you get right - those fixes will be permanent. And yet, we wouldn’t be here if this was the case.
