In this week's episode of the Less Stressed Life Podcast, I'm joined by Registered Dietitian Rakhi Roy Chowdhury to answer two questions: 1-Why does my skin flare with my period? and 2-Why does my skin flare with breastfeeding or postpartum? Plus we are sharing a few simple, applicable tips that you can try the week of your cycle to mitigate these flares. And pssstttt! This episode is still for you if you just have PMS and no skin flares!
Mentioned in this episode:
Rakhi Roy Chowdhury, MS, RD is an actress-turned dietitian whose own challenges with her skin flareups on-screen prevented her from continuing to book more work. This leads her to seek out the counsel of a Dietitian in her 20s when her own allergist said she couldn't help her anymore and her dermatologists mismanaged her eczema over the years. Rakhi holds a Master’s degree in Dietetics & Nutrition and is currently a corporate wellness and consultant clinical dietitian. She sees patients with HIV at her state Department of Health and provides functional nutrition counseling for skin and gut disorders in her virtual private practice.
