When women decide to heal and evolve the sexual parts of themselves, this can really trigger their husbands for various reasons. You know your hubby is triggered because he will be impatient: (“Why don’t you want to jump my bones everyday yet?”) or (“You’re taking too long to change… 😩”). Or he can become insecure and become withdrawn. He can even start giving you ultimatums: (“If you don’t figure this out by this week then I’m going to move out” or something like this). Or husbands can even say: “Fine. I’m not going to talk about sex ever again. This is on you now. I’m staying out of it.” This isn’t easy to manage and can make wives feel lonely and confused which adds another layer of suffering on top of trying to learn new habits while learning how to turn on their desire. But it’s also completely normal for husbands to respond this way. It’s coming from their own need to emotionally and sexually mature themselves and their insecurities are being brought to the surface.
