Chris Schafer, pitmaster of Heavy Smoke BBQ, picked up his third world championship title at the prestigious 2022 Jack Daniels Invitational. A restaurateur and BBQ instructor, Chris talks about some of the techniques he teaches as well as having the proper mindset. Currently running in 7th place for KCBS team of the year, Chris’s competition trail has been filled with success as he joined the hot and fast movement with his drum cookers.
