When was the last time you slowed down enough to evaluate how things are going in your life? Are you actually enjoying the journey? Are you headed towards a destination filled with what you value? Do you remember why you became a PA in the first place?
Tune in to today’s episode for a refreshing conversation with my friend, Adrian Banning. Adrian is a PA and Associate Professor at Delaware Valley University.
Adrian and I discuss how to overcome hustle culture so that work is not the center of your life, but what you do to help create the life you want.
Adrian also discusses the importance of lifestyle medicine and how we can encourage patients (and ourselves) to change their habits in order to create healthier lives. Adrian also teaches us how to use information mastery to effectively analyze and utilize evidence-based medicine.
At the end of the day, we’re all humans taking care of other humans. Let’s try and find the best way to care for others that also shows compassion to ourselves. We can be proud to be PAs and be excellent at what we do, but we don’t need to let our careers define who we are.
