It is often difficult for men to talk about certain issues involving their health. What many men fail to realize, however, is that ignoring the symptoms of prostate problems could result in damage to their bladders, and it could also affect their overall health.
We are happy to have Dr. Elizabeth Mobley, a urologist, joining us today. She will be talking about the potential side effects of BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) that men need to look out for, which could cause damage to their bladders. She will also discuss how we are trending towards preserving bladder health with some of the current, advanced therapies for an enlarged prostate. Stay tuned for more!
Dr. Mobley is a board-certified urologist with Urology Austin, in Texas. She pursued her urology training at the University of Utah, and following her residency she completed additional urology fellowship training at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Mobley enjoys working with both male and female patients, and she prides herself on being able to offer a variety of treatments for various conditions. For example, for BPH, she is trained in a variety of techniques such as UroLift, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), Greenlight Laser therapy, button vaporization therapy for the prostate, and robotic simple prostatectomy.
She was the first female urologist in Texas to receive the UroLift Center of Excellence, a designation for the UroLift procedure. (She was only the third woman, worldwide to receive this distinction.) Dr. Mobley was also the first female urologist in the US to be named a NeoTract Faculty Member, consulting and proctoring urologists across the country on best practices when utilizing Urolift or enlargement of the prostate. Be sure to listen in today to find out how you can avoid causing damage to your bladder if you’re having a problem with your prostate.
