Too often contractors focus on putting more trucks on the road, rather than generating a strong net profit. The Fox family has a much different outlook on business.  Their company, Fox Plumbing Services, is based in Sarasota, FL, and focuses on residential service and remodeling.  It’s never had more than three trucks.  That’s what founder Amos Fox wanted when he started in 1994.  His son, Anthony, and daughter, Debbie, wish to continue that vision.  They enjoy knowing their customers and having tight control over the company.  They clearly know what they’re doing: Fox Plumbing has enjoyed a NET profit between 30-40% in each of the last THREE years.  With sales around $1.5MM, that’s providing the family more money than many 100+ truck operations without that added stress.
