Recently, we wrapped up Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Men continue to ask Dr. Pohlman when they should start getting checked for prostate cancer, so here, on the Prostate Health Podcast, we keep on educating and empowering men all year round.
The way that men get screened for prostate cancer continues to evolve, so we are thrilled to have prostate cancer expert Matt Cooperberg, from the University of California, San Francisco, joining us on the podcast today. He will be answering all of your burning questions about prostate health, and he will explain how you can be smarter when it comes to prostate cancer detection. Be sure to listen in to find out what you need to do.
Dr. Cooperberg earned his MD and MPH degrees at Yale University, and he completed his residency in urology and fellowship in urologic oncology at UCSF. At the end of his training, Dr. Cooperberg joined the faculty at UCSF, where he maintains busy clinical practices at the UCSF Hellen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the San Francisco VA Medical Center. He has written or contributed to over 350 research articles. Through his clinical and research efforts, he continues to lead the way for a paradigm shift for smarter prostate cancer screening with rational and risk-stratified prostate cancer screening, as well as appropriate risk-stratified treatment strategies. Stay tuned for more!
