It’s crazy to think that we weren’t talking about this phase that 100% of women go through who live long enough, just a handful of years ago - in today’s show when I mention I did a show on Perimenopause with Dr Carrie Jones a few years ago, Mary said “Wow how groundbreaking” - there was nothing 6 years ago online. I did that show because people in our community had begun to ask and talk about it. The topic has become a mainstay since then. Thank GOSH. GenX decided: Nope: Women will not suffer silently right when they need more support and more answers than ever. 

Capacity, mood, tolerance, ability… they can feel like they disappear overnight. Everything can feel like it hurts, bones can break, shoulders can freeze, ears can itch, your mouth can burn or taste metallic, periods can become heavier, lighter, disappear, come back, weight can p-ile on, depression can set in, anxiety can feel unbearable… and? Some women can breeze through seeming not to experience much.

This show, is 3 women chatting very honestly about our experiences, sharing insights, and what’s helping us through it. I hope for the mid-lifers and beyond in our community, it will provide a good “oh thank gosh it’s not just me” as well as a good giggle at some of the shares.
