Why do you want to make the amount of money that you want? Many people have these big goals of how much money they want to make a year, but when you dig in at all, they're really just choosing those numbers at random. The most realistic reason for wanting to make a certain amount is by letting your budget determine your income. I'm all for making as much money as you can… just not at the expense of your happiness or the lifestyle you're trying to build.
