In dentistry, we are always working with precision and control over a patient's situation. Having acute attention-to-detail creates a perfectionist tendency in us all, and this trait is critical to achieving great clinical outcomes.
Now, in a clinical setting this makes so much sense. But in a business and operational sense and a broader life perspective, it can be a real financial and cultural ‘handbrake’.
Your ability to grow and scale your practice is inversely proportional to YOUR desire for control. In other words, if you desire control too much, it slows you down in your business growth, and your ability to create time for yourself and to create the results you're seeking.
