"It felt like I was dying".  Joel Saffel recounts his childhood experience of being put on 6 pharmaceutical medications and later choosing to get off them. "When I was 6 years old I was diagnosed with ADHD, Bi-Polar Disorder, Tourettes Syndrome, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The doctor spent only 10 minutes with me before deciding I had these conditions. Doctors prescribed a list of 6 medications, poisoning my body and mind. They [the drugs] slowed me down, dumbed me down, gave me absolutely awful nightmares every night. They caused me to not be able to sleep, and when I brought up that I couldn't sleep due to nightmares, guess what, another Pill prescribed, this one for sleep. It worked so well I could barely stay awake during the day, often falling asleep in class for which I'd be sent to the office for. What a Joke!" Joel Saffel shares his powerful story of being caught in the painful prescription paradigm and what his childhood was like.
