89: Cultivating an Intentional Mind

Listen Later

On average you think 60,000 thoughts every day. Although many of these thoughts are subconscious and go unnoticed, your mind is still a place that can become weighed down with thoughts that we hoard that don't help us create the results that we want. With so much mental chatter we feel pulled in a million different directions and oftentimes we end our days feeling like we're running on autopilot instead of consciously planning our futures. Imagine what it would be like if your brain was filled with very carefully chosen thoughts that are beautiful, that feel good, and that serve you and your bank account. When you clean out your mind and make your internal organization a priority your mind becomes a place of purpose which creates amazing ripple effects in your finances and external environment. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.

This week on The Money Love Podcast we are wrapping up our 3-week series on decluttering and organizing by talking about the life-changing concept of internal organization, which is the process of cleaning out and organizing your thoughts so that your mind feels clear, effective, and energized. It's taking a look at your thoughts and asking "What do you need to let go of? What am I thinking that is outdated and no longer useful? What do I not want to think about anymore? What needs to go? What do I want to fill my mind with instead? What do I want to use my mind power to create?". We talk about why internal organization is important, how it impacts your external organization, and I share with you 5 tools and practices that you can use to create a mind that is clean, organized, and intentional. Enjoy!
